The Salisbury Air Mail contains a letter sent to Mrs. William E. Lednum Jr. of Baltimore, Md. The letter is dated May 19, 1938 and was included in the first air mail delivery out of the Salisbury, Md airport. The front of the letter says "Wings Across the Chesapeake: First Air Mail from Eastern Shore", and includes a photo of the pilot. This was in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the United States Air Mail Service.
